Humans and Animals: A Geography of Coexistence


Connie Johnston and I are pleased to announce the publication of the first one-volume encyclopedia of human-animal relations: Humans and Animals: The Geography of Coexistence by ABC-CLIO Press.

As the editors, we are very proud of the 150 headings covering the full gamut of human-animal relations. This is an excellent resource for anyone interested in learning about the many ways human and animal lives intersect in a concise and accessible manner.

The renown animal behavioralist Marc Bekoff, who wrote the entry on animal intelligence in the volume, has just published this piece about the book - it includes a short summary and interview with us:
